Gaia AI Web Design
This is a web design client project for Gaia AI, an MIT and Harvard startup using LiDAR, computer vision, and satellite data to collect high-quality biomass data in forests. Gaia AI offers a high accuracy and low-cost solution to helping land owners, project developers, and investors understand the timber content and carbon stock of their land.

3 Major Painpoints
General Confusion
The old website consisted of a single webpage with minimal content. Thus, people don't know what Gaia does when they on the website. No Further Info
There is no where on the website that leads to the other content that Gaia has such as the demo. There's no where to sign up for "waiting list" to agree to pay x to get y value-add service.Lack of Passion
Website doesn't tell a story about how the founders came to create Gaia, or why the world needs Gaia.Design Goal
Communicate Gaia's mission and value proposition as well as attracting potential forest managers for their beta test.
Typography
The simplicity of Lato and Inter helps great a minimal and clean look. Lato is preferred for the larger fonts because of it's more human shape.
Color
For the color palette, we decided to go with nature colors that are uplifting. The primary color is trying to convey the forest imagery. The warm color is trying to communicate the feeling of positivity to help people feel the brightness of Gaia's mission.
Graphics
For the graphics, we used graphics that are people-focused to convey a playful storytelling style. Rounded-icons are used to also give a soft and organic look.

Below are several distint improvements we made. To see the full experience, reach out to me at ericdai@sas.upenn.edu
